Sanne Schepers

Sanne Schepers is head of the Bachelor’s programme in Fashion Design at ArtEZ University of the Arts and a member of the NewTexEco Advisory Board.

With a background as a designer and educator, she brings together design, craftsmanship, research and education. Together with Anne Bosman, she runs the fashion label Schepers Bosman, which places the value of craftsmanship at its heart.

At ArtEZ, Sanne is committed to creating a learning environment in which concept development and technical skills go hand in hand. Students are challenged to think critically about materials, production processes and the impact of fashion. This vision aligns seamlessly with NewTexEco’s mission to stimulate knowledge development and collaboration for a future-proof textile sector.

“Sustainability is about a way of working: it’s about craftsmanship, a love of the material, attention to detail and the ‘how’. That’s why I prefer to see sustainability as a way of working rather than the title of a subject or a press release.”
