Rosan van Boven
Rosan van Boven graduated from AMFI’s Fashion & Design programme in 2013, with a specialisation in textiles from Nottingham Trent University. After graduating, she moved an entire ready-to-wear production factory from Wuxi, China to Skopje, Macedonia. She then went to work as lead designer and developer at a company specialising in bark-fibre textiles (linen and hemp).
After working in the industry for several years, she decided she wanted to do things differently and made the radical change by co-founding Fabriek Fris with Kim Bijvank. Fabriek Fris shows that things can be done differently through fair and local production to promote social impact, better working conditions and greater economic equality.
To complete the circle, she founded Anderlus with Paulien Harmsen. They believe in the power of creativity and science. Together, they research and create new materials (bio-based sheet material) from cutting waste from Fabriek Fris and strive to close the value circle together.
