Perica Savanović

Dr.ir. Perica Savanović, professor of Design at ArtEZ, obtained his PhD in integral design as an architect and has in addition to design, a background in technology and engineering. Perica uses design research to interpret the functioning and effect of speculative design as a catalyst for transformations.

Perica studied architecture at Delft University of Technology and obtained his PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology on the subject of Integral Design. This gave him a solid foundation in both the technical and creative dimensions of design. Previously, he was a lecturer in Built Environment at Inholland and Avans University of Applied Sciences, where he gained experience in practice-oriented research in close collaboration with the professional field.

Perica looks at the broader interaction between art, design and architecture. He wants to investigate how this cross-pollination can lead to new methodologies and visions of the future that support social transitions. His expertise helps NewTexEco to approach complex issues in the textile chain from multiple angles, from technology and design to collaboration with partners in the field.
