Jeroen van den Eijnde
Jeroen van den Eijnde is Professor Tactical Design at ArtEZ. Trained as a product designer (ArtEZ) and design historian (Leiden University), he received his PhD in 2015 for his research ‘The house of IK. Ideology and theory in Dutch design education.
Since 1994, he has published articles and books on design in general and on design education in particular. Van den Eijnde worked for various professorships at ArtEZ. For the professorship Art, Culture & Economy, he initiated and led the two-year RAAK MKB project ‘Open Minds Open Sources’, which aimed to connect product designers to the regional manufacturing industry. Together with (back then) ArtEZ Professor Fashion José Teunissen and Lucie Huiskens, he started ArtEZ Future Makers in 2015, which was developed as a centre of expertise for fashion within the framework of the top sector Creative Industry.
Currently, he is program manager of NewTexEco, a member of the CLICKNL programme board and of the Network Applied Design Research (NADR), the lecturer platform for design research.
