Francesco Sollitto

With a background in economics and statistics, the focus of his research and professional career soon shifted to the sustainability domain and the value of digitisation. Early career interest in Multi-Stakeholders Collaboration influenced his thinking about using digital solutions to accelerate knowledge sharing while increasing transparency. Working closely with the developers of SafeSize, he gained practical experience in designing and maintaining digital platforms in an effort to modernise footwear retailing and reduce overconsumption. By curating dashboards and visual representations, he brings a critical perspective on data-driven decision-making to the organisations he has joined. In Circle Economy, for example, he introduces interactive visualisations for exploring complex insights into the environmental impacts of countries and cities, which are used by the researcher to come up with policy recommendations supported by statistical evidence.
