Anne Boermans

With over 25 years of experience in marketing, management and media, Anne Boermans is a seasoned entrepreneur, which makes her the ideal partner in a collaboration with designer-artist Nienke Hoogvliet. The two met in 2019, and after several conversations and discussing essential literature on seaweed, Anne too became convinced of the impact and potential of seaweed as a raw material for yarn and dye. She has been an active campaigner for implementing new developments with a blue economy motif. Anne lends to Seaweed her infectious enthusiasm, alongside her eye for business building, marketing communications and her know-how as a former art agency owner. Anne aims to scale up seaweed incrementally as a renewable raw material for the textile industry.
