Textile Transition Academy – Materials, Models, Movements
Follow this hybrid course and explore the future of textiles in the track(s) of your choice. Discover biobased materials, regenerative business models, society and consumer behavior, and movements around local production and craftsmanship. The program combines expert insights, field visits, and experiences from fiber to end user and back.

In the Textile Transition Academy – Materials, Models, Movements, you choose a personalized learning track, work on practical assignments, and connect with professionals across sectors to co-create impactful solutions for a sustainable future.
The program includes four on-site course days, scheduled as follows:

In addition to the four on-site course days, there will be an online morning with multiple live webinars on Thursday, 4 June 2026.
This academy is made possible by Wageningen Academy and partner Fibershed. NewTexEco supports the organisation of several learning lines and brings in expertise from the consortium through lectures, workshops and fieldtrips. Several partners such asEnschedeTextile City, Modint and State of Fashion and members of NewTexEco actively contribute to the programme, as well as the professorships from Saxion,Hogeschool van Amsterdam and ArtEZ University of the Arts. Thus, knowledge from research and practice is directly linked to the participants.
Based on your attendance you will receive a certificate after the programme is finished.
