Online Digital Product Passport workshop #1

The Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA) is launching a new Industry Living Lab series around Digital Product Passports (DPPs) for the textile, clothing, leather and footwear sectors. With EU regulations becoming mandatory between 2027 and 2030, the series focuses on supporting companies-particularly small and micro enterprises-in their preparation for these changes.

The series is part of the SIA/NWO-funded Molecular Digital Physical Product Passport (M-DPP) project, in which companies, researchers and public partners are collaborating on practical and scalable DPP solutions. By combining molecular materials analysis with open digital infrastructures, the project is working towards a reliable prototype that supports transparency and circularity in real production environments.

The first workshop, of the three in total, will take place online on 15 December from 10:00 to 11:00. Registration is not required. This session will explain the project goals and gather experiences and needs from the field. Two follow-up sessions are planned in 2026. Keep an eye on the NewTexEco website for more information.
