Evening at the Amstel: ‘Chain cooperation in fashion: myth or reality?’

When sustainability and social working conditions are taken into account, and in any case when the new EU directives will become a reality, the textile and fashion sector will also have to believe in long-term, strong partnerships between producers, retailers and suppliers. Whereas in other sectors this is taken for granted, in fashion it has never been so, provided there are integrated, head-tail or fast fashion companies. These have all the power in the chain. What if they don’t? What if an uncertain future makes it difficult to enter into long-term collaborations? New circumstances question existing business models and call for new forms of collaboration.

We will discuss this on 22 May at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute with Pascal Betten, director of INTERLOOP EU, and Pieter van Kessel, owner of DE NOVO FABRICS and co-founder of the Circular Textile Days. All this, as usual, under the inspiring guidance of Joris Völker.

A buffet will be available from 17:30. From 18:30 to 20:00, the talk will take place.

Could you please let us know if you will attend and/or join us for dinner at: avondaandeamstel-amfi@hva.nl?
