Digital Product Passport – workshop #2

This is the second session in the Industry Living Lab workshop series, which began on December 15.
These workshops are part of the Molecul Digital Product Passport project.

During this session (#2), we will collect, structure, and prioritize concrete system requirements for the Molecular Digital Product Passport (MDPP). The focus is on the day-to-day reality of fashion and textile SMEs. Rather than defining problems or designing solutions, we translate real-world needs into clear, actionable requirements that can be directly used for the first version of the MDPP system.

The workshop is structured around predefined design questions based on earlier user interviews.

During this second session, the white paper Systemic Value Chain Transformation will also be presented and discussed. The focus is on the new data requirements for the TCLF sector.
You can already download the white paper here.

Preparation and Context

New Order of Fashion is currently conducting short one-on-one interviews (30 minutes) with fashion and textile professionals, such as independent designers, brand owners, and retailers.
These conversations explore needs, challenges, and expectations related to Digital Product Passports. The results are anonymized and used for this workshop and an upcoming discussion white paper.

During Workshop #2, we will also present a recently published white paper from the NewTexEco research community: Systemic Value Chain Transformation. This paper explores how legislation and digitalization can contribute to a systemic transformation of the value chain in the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear industries.
