NewTexEco’s 3D knit Summer School

Put it in your diary already: the second edition of NewTexEco’s 3D Knit Summer School.

The first edition of NewTexEco’s 3D Knit Summer School took place in July 2024, and was a great success! Under the guidance of Leslie Eisinger (Fashion Research & Technology Professorship), six teachers and researchers immersed themselves in the world of WholeGarment Knitting for a week. In the lab, they worked intensively on designing, programming and knitting modern fisherman’s jumpers on the Shima Seiki Mach2XS.

Dutch Yarnery also allowed participants to experiment with unusual yarns, leading to surprising textures and insights.
