Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association (LATIA)
The Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association (LATIA) is a private business association representing the interests of the majority of Lithuanian clothing, textile, and leather product manufacturers, traders, and service providers. It was founded in 1991.
The LATIA association brings together more than 130 member companies, representing approximately 85 percent of total employment in the sector.
The Lithuanian clothing and textile sector plays an important role in the Lithuanian economy. Approximately 1,000 textile and clothing manufacturing companies with 27,000 employees were operating in Lithuania in November 2020.
LATIA is actively involved in the following activities:
Export promotion activities for its member companies: searching for potential business partners, organizing trade missions, participating in trade fairs abroad, etc.
Advising foreign companies interested in finding potential cooperation partners in the Lithuanian textile and clothing sector
Lobbying activities: representing the interests of the sector at national, EU, and international levels.
Training and advising members: organizing seminars, conferences, preparing market information; capacity-building projects for members.
Member of the European Apparel and Textile Organization EURATEX, International Apparel Federation IAF, Lithuanian Industrial Confederation LPK.
